Virtual Dressage Shows
Fox Island Equestrian encourages students to participate in virtual dressage shows through Dressage Show Online! These competitions give riders of all experience levels an opportunity to build confidence, receive feedback from professional judges, and earn ribbons and awards, all without leaving our barn.
How Does It Work?
Students ride a dressage test (a predetermined pattern of riding movements) during their regular lesson, which is recorded and submitted for judging. Their instructor will determine which test is appropriate for their riding ability and help them prepare.
What Do Parents Need to Do?
-

Let your instructor know
you'd like your child to participate at least two weeks before the show's closing date.
-

E-mail & pay Mira $115
which covers the $36 show entry fee and her filming and submission service. E-mail Mira by clicking here.
-

Bring your child to their regularly scheduled lesson
dressed in the appropriate riding attire listed below. (Please check with your instructor before purchasing any new clothing!)
That's it! Your instructor and Mira will coordinate the test, filming, registration, and submission. Mira's service includes up to two filming days if needed, video review, and all entry paperwork.
Every filming day uses a normal lesson credit, including the first filming day and any additional filming days. The $115 show cost is in addition to regular lesson credits. Mira's service includes up to two filming days; each additional filming day costs $20, plus the regular lesson credit.
Families may also film and submit entries themselves for the $36 entry fee, but are responsible for all filming, paperwork, and submission requirements.
